Hi. I am Robert.

I live in Wales, UK. I am married to Cathy and together we have three children.

I have always loved art since I was a boy. I love to paint. I love to paint anything and everything. I am especially drawn to painting portraits. I love to capture the character of a person. It is my belief that the skills of an accomplished artist are employed to elevate the painting above the photo by ones creative command of tone and light composition and colour.

 

My days are filled with painting from my painting studio and also I enjoy painting outside too. 

I love to paint with oil. I also enjoy watercolour. My commissions are oil on canvas.

One of the things I love about art and painting is that there is always more to learn and with continual application one never stops growing. An original painting can also give such joy and be a lasting fond memory of a loved one to those who can invest.

For me; Fine Art is a rewarding pursuit of excellence. It is like climbing mountain ranges one step at a time; slow and steady with spurts along the way. I've been on this painting journey for many years.

It is like standing upon a mountain top and enjoying its  grand perspective and the great feeling of  the wind upon your face. 

I believe that great Art imparts to the viewer a gift that adds enjoyment and colour to our lives.

It is a good balancer. It is good. It has value. It adds pleasure to us.
